Bishop Savarinathen Iruthayaraj: A Shepherd of Faith and Vision
Bishop Iruthayaraj (1927–2001), the first bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Palayamkottai, was a servant-leader devoted to God and people. Appointed by Pope Paul VI in 1973, he led the diocese for 26 years, transforming it through:
- Faith-Based Leadership
- Commitment to Education
- Healthcare for the Poor
- Uplifting the Marginalized
His passing on October 18, 2001, left a spiritual legacy that continues to inspire.
